Manifestation as a Tool
Manifestation is the power to attract desires through thoughts and actions. Understanding your manifestation style and using tools like Human Design can help you align with your goals and enhance your success.

Manifestation is a concept deeply rooted in the belief that individuals possess the power to consciously attract and materialize their desires, experiences, or possessions through the influence of their thoughts, beliefs, and actions. Often associated with the law of attraction, which suggests that "like" attracts "like," manifestation encourages focusing on positive thoughts and intentions to bring about favorable outcomes. Sometimes, however, manifestation is met with skepticism and frustration, usually because previous attempts weren't successful, even though the desire and effort were sincere.
The reason: success in manifestation depends entirely on the individual. Some find success through affirmations, vision boards, and meticulous journaling, while others simply jot down their desires, maintain a positive mindset, and occasionally revisit their goals. To shed light on different approaches to manifestation, Human Design, a modern system of personality analysis and self-discovery, breaks manifestation into four different types.
Types of Manifestation
- Active Specific Manifestor: These individuals have a manifestation routine. They often use visible media such as vision boards, journals, and lists to outline their desires and goals. These are usually highly specific. It's not just, "I want to buy a house this year." It's more like, "I want to buy a house in December with 4 bedrooms, 2 baths, 2-car attached garage in West Ranch." Daily affirmations and repetition are common practices for Active-Specific Manifestors.
- Active Non-Specific Manifestor: These individuals have a similar routine to the Active-Specific Manifestors (using vision boards, etc.); however, their list of desires and goals is less concrete and less detailed. Rather than clarifying they want a relationship with someone who is 6'4 with blonde hair and blue eyes and makes $200k a year, maybe it's less specific, like, "I want a relationship with someone I find attractive who is also financially stable."
- Passive Specific Manifestor: Passive-Specific Manifestors are like Active-Specific Manifestors in that they are very detailed in their desires and goals. They even work with visual media like vision boards and journal entries. However, because they are passive, these are things that are put away and put out of mind; it is not something that is looked at daily, but only on occasion.
- Passive Non-Specific Manifestor: Individuals who are passive-abstract Manifestors are most likely the type who have had frustrating experiences with manifesting. This style of manifesting is like acknowledging your wants and desires openly, but in a non-specific way, and then leaving it out there. It's not something that needs to be revisited but occasionally, more of a "set it and forget it" mentality. For example, you openly state "I want to take a vacation this winter to someplace snowy." You can revisit this desire on occasion and reinforce the intention, but it's not intended to be a daily routine or something about which you specify details (location, time frame, etc).
Personally, I am a Passive Non-Specific Manifestor. I would always roll my eyes when someone would share with me "the Secret" and tell me I needed to do daily affirmations and make a vision board; those things just never worked for me. It's not that I was anti-manifesting, I just wasn't manifesting the way that was right for me. Understanding your personal style of manifestation can not only help you be more successful in your efforts but also give you a stronger sense of attainment when you see success in your efforts. Working with Human Design can also help you understand the traits of your children to best help them to express their desires and needs.
Human Design & Manifestation
If you'd like to learn more about Human Design and how it can help you in your journey of self-awareness, I highly recommend MyHumanDesign by Jenna Zoe. It's very easy to get started, you just need to know the specific date, time, and location of your birth. Human Design, as a system, combines the elements of astrology, the I Ching, Kabbalah, and the chakra system to create a unique personality profile. It aims to provide insight into an individual's strengths, weaknesses, and life purpose based on their birth information.
Human Design categorizes people into five main types: Manifestors, Generators, Manifesting Generators, Projectors, and Reflectors. Each type has a specific strategy for making decisions and interacting with the world. Human Design offers guidance on how to live in alignment with one's true nature and fulfil their potential.

I learned so much about myself and learning more about Human Design. It explained things about myself that I have always done in a way that absolutely made sense concerning how I work with the world, learn, and process information.
