The Bitch Better Have My Money Spread

There comes a time in everyone's life when we learn to not loan money to people and actually expect to have that money returned. It usually takes being burned pretty badly for that lesson to be learned. And then there's always the complicated and complex situation of loaning money to members of your family. The sense of obligation is fierce!

But sometimes you spot someone for a meal or help someone out with new tires. Or they really need this new makeup palette from Sephora and will pay you back next week when they get paid, PROMISE.

Bitch, please. We know. We all know. Don't expect that money. Giving willingly or don't give at all. But if you haven't learned that lesson yet... this is for you: the Bitch Better Have My Money spread.

The Spread Positions

This spread consists of six cards aiming to give you some peace of mind about if/how/why you should or shouldn't expect your money any time soon. Be mindful not to project any negative energy when you work with the spread or the response may be clouded and unclear.

  1. Current Situation: This card represents the current state of the borrower's financial situation, their attitude towards repaying the debt, and the energy surrounding the situation.
  2. Obstacles: The second card represents the main obstacles preventing the borrower from repaying the debt. This could be financial difficulties, personal issues, or other external factors.
  3. Advice: The third card provides guidance and advice for the borrower on how to overcome the obstacles in position #2 and settle the debt.
  4. Consequences: The fourth card reveals potential consequences of not repaying the debt, both in the short and long term.
  5. Lessons: The fifth card represents the lessons that the borrower can learn from this situation and how they can use this experience to grow and improve their financial management skills.
  6. Outcome: The final card in this spread represents the likely outcome of the situation. It could indicate whether the borrower will eventually repay the debt or whether legal action may be necessary.

Spread Enhancers

As with any spread, you can still draw a clarifying card (the next top card in the deck) for each position if you need further insight. Likewise, you can pull a shadow card (the bottom card of the deck) to help identify the underlying theme of the reading or an aspect of the situation or reading you may have not considered.
