Sometimes relationships don't go the way we hope they will go. Promises are forgotten; vows are broken; or sometimes it just becomes clear that you're both moving in different directions. The pain of a lost relationship is something that can stay with us for a long, long time and can impact our ability to form new, healthy relationships.
This spread was created as a way to take a bird's eye view of where you are in terms of your past relationship, your current feelings, and a potential new relationship.

The Spread Positions
This spread consists of six cards, featuring the querent, separated from, but sitting between, two columns of cards that represent the past (love lost) and the future (love won). This is, perhaps, a good place to be when you are learning about where you are in life.
- The Present You: This card represents you in your current state, having worked through the end of a relationship and now looking to move on.
- Your Past Partner: This card represents your past partner and who they were to you in the relationship. When relationships end on less-than-amicable terms, this card can sometimes feel jaded or biased. It's important to step outside of your emotions when regarding this card to consider the person as a whole and what drew your attraction.
- The Result of Your Union: What is the ultimate lesson that can be learned from your time with this person? Again, be careful to not allow negative sentiment to cloud your vision when looking at the good and bad that came from this relationship.
- Your Focus for the Future: As you accept the need to move on, this card represents where you should place your focus as you heal and set your eyes forward. This card is intended to be self-reflective to help find the places where growth is needed most.
- Your Potential Partner: This card represents your partner in a potential future relationship. This is not stating that this person is your true love or twin flame, but provides insight into some of the details of a future relationship, good or bad.
- The Result of Your Future Union: What is the ultimate lesson that you will learn from being with this person? Be careful not to project your feelings and expectations on this card, and be open to the insight it offers.
Spread Enhancers
As with any spread, you can still draw a clarifying card (the next top card in the deck) for each position if you need further insight. Likewise, you can pull a shadow card (the bottom card of the deck) to help identify the underlying theme of the reading or an aspect of the situation or reading you may have not considered.
This spread could also include two additional cards for further clarification:
